Did you know……………….
The village hall grounds are used by
Sedley school for their playing field and by Tiny Tigers nursery
……………and the children’s health is being put at significant risk by irresponsible dog owners who won’t clear up after their dog.
The dog poo harbour parasites that can be easily transferred to humans, especially small children who readily pick things up. This can cause toxocariasis, which can be a severe illness which can also cause blindness. It can be transmitted to unborn babies too.
Other diseases that can be caused by contact with dog poo are a variety of very unpleasant stomach upsets (Diarrhoea & Vomiting). Also, other dogs may also catch Parvovirus which is usually fatal.
There is also a problem along the allotment pathway, where the children have a plot, and many others grow food produce.
The law is clear - "It is the responsibility of the dog owner or the person in charge of the dog to clear up any dog foul left by their dog."
Thank you from Sedley School, Tiny Tigers and the Village Hall
